This is with very deep regret

Dear Loyal Friends.

It is with my deepest regrets that I do this. But from now on this will be an Informational Blog only. There will be no downloads anymore. I have been finding my shares all over the Internet and people are taking credit for all my hard work. Some people are even making CD-R's and selling them. If they want to do this, they will have to find another source. Every single one of my shares has been found on other sites and I have randomly downloaded some of them and they are the exact same files I had done byte for byte.

I haven't been very active because of health issues. I will leave my blog up, but again even if a link is shown for downloading, it won't be active I can't go through and edit every post.

I will try to post more records I have collected, but it will just be the artwork and information about the records. This way people can try to find these albums and will have the information so they will know what to look for.

I am very very sorry for having to do this as I know there are some of you who are very grateful for all I have done these past few years and brought back a lot of fond memories for you. I thank you for all your support. I hope you all understand.

If you can't find a particular record, please leave me a message and I will try to point you in the right direction.

Again, I am very regretful that I have to do this and I thank you all again for your support.

Sincerely,

Susan

RIP Margaret Whiting

I just found out yesterday that Margaret Whiting (Baby, It's Cold Outside ) with Johnny Mercer. She passed away on January 10th She was 86 years old.
Here she is singing "Baby It's Cold Outside" with Johnny Mercer

Though the audio quality isn't that great, here is her singing "Silver Bells" with Jimmy Wakely. There was a better quality sounding video, but it had a fake Yule Log so I didn't want to post that one.

Here she is singing "Christmas Candy" with Jimmy Wakely. There was a better sounding one too, but it was a reissue on a newer Capitol Records Label

Merry Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas 2010

Just wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas.

I apologize that I haven't been very active here lately, but health problems are making it difficult for me to sit at the computer for long periods of time.

Our tree didn't come out very well as it is a 3 piece artificial tree and the bolts in the stand are stripped and the tree wobbles at each section, so this year I only use the top 2 sections and they were wobbly too.

I hope Santa was able to get everyone everything they had on their list.

If you have to travel anywhere today and the weather is bad, please use extra precaution.

I thank you all for your continued support.

New Artist I found and think you will love her music Barbara Faith Jordan

A visitor to my blog has introduced me to a new Vocalist who has a beautiful voice and has released a Christmas CD.

I've listened to samples of her CD and really love the songs she sings and her style. In my opinion, she sings the songs the way they were meant to be sung and puts her heart into them.

Her name is Barbara Faith Jordan and I think you will enjoy her newest CD "The Gift of Christmas"

I do not have a share for this but will include a link to her website where you can listen to samples and order her CD or MP3 Downloads.

The Track listings is as follows:

01 The Holly and the Ivy / Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
02 O Come All Ye Faithful / I Love You Lord
03 Breath of Heaven
04 What Child Is This?
05 O Holy Night
06 All Through the Night / Infant Holy, Infant Lowly
07 O Little Town of Bethlehem
08 Silent Night

Please visit http://barbarafaithjordan.com/ If you appreciate Music, Especially Christmas Music as much as I do, I'm sure you will enjoy this CD. This is an early Christmas present from me to all of you.

58 Days 13 hours until Christmas

It's hard to believe that Christmas will be here in less than 59 days. I can hardly wait. You wouldn't know were at the end of October. We were 71 yesterday adn in the 60's today, but will be in the 40's on Halloween.

We did have a cold spell last week with temperatures in the upper 30's, but no snow, yet. I like the snow, but don't like having to shovel it. And I really like to have a little snow on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I'm hoping decorate on November first this year. Most of the stores have a lot of Christmas stuff out already, but a lot of it is very expensive and now, most of the lights now are LED's and they are on the expensive side, but they do save electricity. They just don't look as good as the regular C6, C7 and C9 light bulbs and in some cases, they aren't as bright.

RIP Tom Bosley

Tom Bosley (Howard Cunningham) of Happy Days passes away at the age of 83

Fox New Report

Sorry that I've been posting about celebrities recently but I want to keep my blog going and let people know I am still here. I have been working on a lot of different things lately. Sorry about the quality of the video, but there wasn't a lot of Christmas stuff from Happy Days on YouTube that wasn't overdubbed with someone elses song.

Blowmold Candy Cane

This is a Blowmold Candy Cane made my Union Products in 1991. It is a smaller/thinner one than other's I have seen, but is about 24 inches tall. I got this a couple years ago for $.50 cents at a Thrift Store that was going out of business. This one didn't have the cord with it either but i was able to get several from Walmart.

Blowmold Nutcracker

With my time for Christmas decorating coming up soon, I decided I'd better check to see that things still light up. This Nutcracker (I initially referred to him as a toy soldier, but he is more like a Nutcracker so I changed the title of this post) was made by TPI Plastics from Canada in 1988. He stands about 30 inches tall, maybe a little shorter, but I didn't measure him and am estimating his height compared the Santa Claus I showed in a previous post who was 40 inches tall.

I got him at a Thrift Store that was going out of business a couple years ago for $.50 cents. He didn't have a cord for him but I was able to find one at Walmart.

He has a few light scuff marks on the front of his hat, but it doesn't need to be repainted.

Sorry about the blurriness at the top of the picture. I was trying to cover the flash so it wouldn't white the image out and my finger also covered part of the lens.

Blowmold Angel I got at a yard sale

I purchased this angel at the same yard sale earlier this year along with the Santa Claus with List. She was only $2.50 too.

Thanks to BlowmoldsRUs, I found out that she was manufactured in Canada by TPI Plastics/Canada.

She stands about 20 inches high and needs a bit of cleaning, but there isn't any paint loss. Someone did splice the cord though so I will probably have to replace it with one from Walmart.

I'm hoping to find some more blowmolds before I start decorating but they usually go pretty fast when the Thrift Stores put them out so you basically have to be there when they put them out. I did pass on Mary and Joseph last week. They were only $2.49 each, but they didn't have the Baby Jesus so it wouldn't look right if I were to just put Mary and Joseph out on our porch.

Empire Plastics Reindeer

This was a freebie from someone that was moving out of state and didn't want to take all their Christmas decorations with them.

He stands 26 inches tall and was made by Empire Plastics. I have to try and touch up the paint on his nose but other than that he is in good shape.

He has the original light socket and cord and uses a standard 25 watt light bulb.

Union Products Santa With List Yard Sale Find

This is a Union Products Santa that I found at a yard sale earlier this year for $2.50

He stands about 40 inches tall and for the age has only a little paint loss, mostly on the back so I don't have to worry about him not looking right when I display him this year.

I believe he was manufactured around 1968 and they often go for over $20.00 on eBay not counting shipping, so I got a good deal when I purchased him this summer at a yard sale. He doesn't have the original light or cord, but from the front nobody would be able to tell.

I'm hoping to start decorating our porch on November first this year as I am usually the first person to start with Christmas decorating and then the neighborhood follows.
